Daniel Thomas Shrine

Portrayed by: David Conrad
Occupation: Attorney and reluctant timeline investigator
Important relationships: Bethany (wife), Alan (enemy)
Biography
At first the handsome husband seems like a conventional romantic obstacle. Then he starts remembering things the audience never saw. By episode twenty he may be the only hero left.
In the early episodes this character seems to belong to a perfectly ordinary workplace comedy. By midseason, the office itself has become a place where memories, motives and even employment histories can be rewritten. Watch the reaction shots: they tell a different story from Alan’s narration.
Character Development
The episodes I recommend for watching this character are the pilot, The Perfect Woman, Forbidden Fruits and the finale. Some of the biggest changes happen without anyone mentioning them out loud.
Favorite Quote
I remember being married to her yesterday.
Webmaster Notes
My friend Scott thinks Daniel is secretly the villain. I disagree (except in Alan’s case, which is becoming a little difficult to defend). Please send theories, NOT chain letters.
