McBURGER IN THE NEWS!!

Proof that the show is REAL and not just in my head!!! I scanned these on my aunt's flatbed scanner. Sorry they are crooked.

TV GUIDE LISTING (week of Oct 4, 1997)

TUESDAY 9:00 PM (FOX) 25
ALAN McBURGER - "Objection! Feminism"
A client sues his wife for insufficient
appreciation; Alan's defense turns
supernatural. (Rated TV-14, L, S)
Michael Weston, Jennifer Morrison

Note: the "S" is NOT for scary. I asked.

"FOX'S STRANGEST NEW SERIES" — Back Bay Courier, Sept 1997

The critic compares the pilot to a lawyer sitcom that wandered into a haunted library. He calls Michael Weston "terrifyingly likable" and says the laugh track "keeps laughing after everyone has stopped." I cut this out and taped it to my monitor.

RATINGS GOSSIP (Jan 1998)

My cousin says FOX is not happy. The show opened on Tuesdays at 9/8c and slid to a 7.8 share in the winter. BUT it wins teenagers in Boston, Pittsburgh and (somehow) Boise. Whenever the finale airs, the numbers jump. TV Week says "cult favourite." I say we ARE the cult.

FOX PROMO COPY (taped Oct 1997)

"He's got a law degree, a broken heart, and a very old book. Tuesdays, only on FOX." The announcer says "very old book" in a slightly different voice every time. I have 4 tapes of it.

TALK SHOW APPEARANCES

Jennifer Morrison on a late night talk show, Nov 1997 (I did NOT get the tape, my VCR was recording the other channel!!). David Conrad sang happy birthday to the host. Michael Weston refused to answer any question about the Codex and just smiled. Gina Gershon told the host she "only takes meetings in red."
