THE WHOLE STORY (SPOILERS!!!)

A lonely client asks the court to find him a wife. Alan appoints himself guardian ad litem and writes a 14-point spec sheet; point 9 is “listens attentively to my previous 8 points.” He casts Femina Perfecta and Bethany returns, agreeable, laughing at every joke, remembering nothing from before Tuesday.

Daniel visits and she does not know him. He leaves without arguing. The episode ends on Bethany alone, saying her own name until the picture fades. Continuity: the Codex writes people into versions that fit the wish, then forgets the old ones.

My Two Cents

I cried a little. I am not telling anybody. The last shot of Bethany saying her name is the saddest thing I have seen on TV. I think the show is not a comedy anymore. I give it 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 out of five burgers.

Best Quote

BETHANY: I'm Bethany. I think I'm Bethany. Is that right?

Continuity Watch / Theories

Her cardigan is the colour she wore in the pilot flashback. The writers know what they are doing. Frightening.
