THE WHOLE STORY (SPOILERS!!!)
Alan wants to be named partner without the “DEI committee” of three women reviewing his work. Rachel offers a favour: help her rewrite Fish & Cage itself. Alan holds the Codex while she does it, casting Societas Nova.
Alan realises Rachel never needed him, only the book. The partnership is real. So is the debt. Continuity: Rachel wants the Codex, and everything has an owner.
⚖ CASE OF THE WEEK
Partnership Track: the firm sues the elevator.
💭 INSIDE ALAN’S HEAD
Alan rehearses accepting the partnership in front of nine mirrors. Eight agree.
📖 CODEX LORE
RACHEL'S PRICE: she does not want wishes, she wants the book. Everything has an owner.
My Two Cents
Rachel is VILLAIN of the year!! Gina Gershon is so good. Is she working for the Reflection? I think she is in on it. I give it 🍔🍔🍔🍔 out of five burgers.
Best Quote
RACHEL: Everything is for sale, Alan. Even your lunch hour.
Continuity Watch / Theories
Rachel's office plant changes species between scenes. I think it is hungry.
