THE WHOLE STORY (SPOILERS!!!)
Alan believes Bethany’s dreams prove she secretly misses him. He casts Somnium Fidele to guide them. Rachel offers her a sleeping pill the firm happens to own. Every character begins to move one beat behind their own dialogue.
Bethany keeps waking up somewhere she has already left, and smells salt in an office that has no sea. Daniel’s hands are the only ones still in sync. Continuity: something is leaking from the original timeline.
⚖ CASE OF THE WEEK
Dream Law: a sleepwalker sues her bed.
💭 INSIDE ALAN’S HEAD
Alan's inner voice is a smooth jazz DJ who keeps losing the signal.
📖 CODEX LORE
BETHANY'S DREAMS: the salt smell is the sea of the original timeline. Something is leaking.
My Two Cents
Slow, dreamy, I loved it. It was kind of hard to follow but I think that is the idea. Bethany is not Alan's 'prize' she is a person and the show keeps telling us! I give it 🍔🍔🍔🍔 out of five burgers.
Best Quote
BETHANY: I keep waking up somewhere I've already left.
Continuity Watch / Theories
Watch the lip sync starting in the second act. It slides, it's not my VCR.
