THE WHOLE STORY (SPOILERS!!!)
Alan files suit against reality for every rejection he has ever suffered. The universe is represented by a smiling attorney who looks a lot like Alan. Alan wins damages: one apology, to be delivered in person. He casts Reus Mundi to force it.
The Reflection speaks in the bathroom mirror for the first time. It doesn’t move when Alan moves and takes notes. The apology arrives as a handwritten letter, signed by Alan. Continuity: the Reflection is Alan before he opened the book.
⚖ CASE OF THE WEEK
The Universe v. Alan McBurger: emotional damages.
💭 INSIDE ALAN’S HEAD
The Reflection narrates over Alan's closing argument. Alan keeps thanking it.
📖 CODEX LORE
THE REFLECTION is not a mirror image. It is Alan before the Codex, the one who never got a wish.
My Two Cents
WHAT. The reflection TALKS. I called Scott and we watched it on the phone together. This is the best show on television. If you disagree you are wrong. I give it 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 out of five burgers.
Best Quote
REFLECTION: I'm not you, Alan. I'm what you meant.
Continuity Watch / Theories
The reflection's tie is on the wrong side. That could be a mirror thing or the sign it is not a mirror thing.
