THE WHOLE STORY (SPOILERS!!!)
Alan has a simple plan: represent whoever opposes Daniel. His client, a man with a ring and no paperwork, is a victim of “modern marriage.” When the case stalls, Alan casts Deleo Rivalem and the claimant is erased from the file. Alan argues, correctly, that no one can prove he was ever there.
Daniel stares at the empty folder and says there was a man here yesterday. Nobody else remembers. Ronnie writes the date on his hand. Continuity: Daniel is the first person a Codex edit fails to touch.
⚖ CASE OF THE WEEK
Doe v. Daniel: a man claims to be Bethany’s first husband.
💭 INSIDE ALAN’S HEAD
Alan's fantasy: a courtroom where every spectator holds a sign reading 'WHO ASKED?'
📖 CODEX LORE
DANIEL REMEMBERS: this is the first time anyone sees a Codex edit fail on someone.
My Two Cents
THE episode. Daniel is so NORMAL that it makes Alan look worse. I know I am supposed to root for Alan but come on. Team Daniel?? Maybe?? I give it 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 out of five burgers.
Best Quote
DANIEL: There was a man here yesterday. I remember his shoes.
Continuity Watch / Theories
First sign Daniel remembers deleted things. Nobody else in the scene reacts. Look at the clock again.
