THE WHOLE STORY (SPOILERS!!!)
Daniel confronts Alan. He knows about the Codex, the Reflection, and every erased life. He isn’t angry, which scares Alan more. Alan, jealous and cornered, casts Alienus Fiat to make Daniel a stranger to Bethany, and she does not blink.
Ronnie quits. A strange hiss on the soundtrack sounds like a man saying “first.” Continuity: Daniel is the witness; the Codex can’t erase what it can’t hold.
⚖ CASE OF THE WEEK
Daniel v. Alan: an intervention in legal language.
💭 INSIDE ALAN’S HEAD
Alan's internal monologue is replaced with silence, for the first time.
📖 CODEX LORE
THE WITNESS: Daniel is the anchor. The Codex cannot touch what it cannot erase.
My Two Cents
I'm not okay after this one. Daniel is the hero. I'm sorry, Alan fans. I have been wrong about this show for months. The tape noise is real, ask anybody. I give it 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 out of five burgers.
Best Quote
DANIEL: I'm not your enemy. I'm your witness.
Continuity Watch / Theories
The hiss appears at 41:12 on my tape and on a friend's tape in Ohio.
